4 Ways of Looking at First Period

Endless laughter of young teenagers.
Bright colors swarm around the room.
Everyone looks fowared to this period,
because we all feel like family.

A wonderful teacher teaching us
the greatness of writing, and eager students
enjoying each moment of it.
For most this is their favorite class because
of the warmth, comfort, and warm welcoming
each and everyday.

Energy lifting the room,
kids smiling and laughing as if
they'd rather be here than somewhere else.

As the time comes to end this class,
we all sadly put our notebooks away.
But we look foward to tomorrow because
we know that this period will be twice as better,
than today.

Rough Draft of perspective poem

Jealousy has many sides to it.
Like a girl in a High School hallway.
Wanting to be someone better than herself;
something different.
Or like a young teenage boy who can't defend for himself.
Watching, and waiting for the right moment to shine.

How I learned the word "Music"

It feels like i'm back to six years old when I talk about this.
Music was the definition of my childhood and my family.
It filled the cracks on the walls,
and the darkness in every corner.
I would love to hear the beat of the bass pounding on my sister's door.
The muscial style of Discovery mixed with my brother's Blind Guardian.
Not a very good combination.
My dad would be working to the sound of The Four Tops,
while my mom would have the radio on,
listening to anything.
As for me, I would just sit by my fire and soak in every lyric that my ears caught sound of.
By the second chorus, I would be singing every word with the perfect tune.
Loving the sound of music, it was the definition of the Hlavatys.
